I have a strange pain in the left hand side of my throat/jaw.
It has happened a few times, but only when I am lying in bed. Im not sure what happens just before the pain starts, but suddenly, ill feel a "lump" in the back of my mouth/top of throat, on the left hand side. It feels as though part of the back of my tounge is sticking out, as in the general area.
It leaves me with a pain in my jaw, and back of throat, and if I try to swallow anything, even saliva, I get extremely intense pain in the location described. It also feels as though the "lump" is moving when I try to swallow.
This pain, and feeling a lump last around 10 minutes, then goes away, just as suddenly as it appears. I have no idea whats wrong, but I am very worried about it. If its relevant, about 6 months ago, I was diagnosed with sinusitis(i know thats spelled wrong) and after a dose of antibiotics, it disapeared, but since then, I have had a constanly runny/blocked nose, which has been passed of by GPs as colds. Could this have anything to do with it?
Thanks in advance for any help you can give
