Hello, I am 36 and pregnant for the first time. I am quite worried about what I am going to tell you, so I would thank any idea or advice you can give me.
My mother suffers from bilateral othosclerosis. She is 65 and almost deaf. She started to notice loss hearing when she was 38, and there is no solution. Her aunt, her cousin and the daughter of her cousin suffer from it. As I have read that pregnancy and breast feeding accelerate this degenerative procces I am worried about myself starting to suffer loss hearing. At this moment I haven't noticed anything but some whistles in my left ear. This happens to me since I had an earplug taken out, seven years ago. Does anybody have a similar situation? Should I go to the ORL or should i wait till I have any symptom. Thanks to everybody.
