I recently had an MRI pituitary due to a variety of symptoms and I asked a colleague to look at the results for me and the report says I have mastoiditis (which I do actually get symptoms of).
The gen med consultant has told me my results are normal and doesn't want to see me for the follow up i had booked. The reason i was referred to him is because i have pyrexia of unkown origin, transient joint pain/swelling which can be quite severe and fatigue.
He decided to do the pituitary MRI because my IGF-1 was raised. And I have a zillion weird symptoms.
Would the mastoiditis not be a cause of the temperatures (has been up to 40.1, usually fluctuates up to 38.6)?
I have made an appt to see my GP again but it isn't for a few weeks.
Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated, feeling frustrated as I have been in a lot of pain the last couple of days and unwell (AGAIN!)
