So for the past 3 weeks I have had serious pains in the left side of my jaw. The pain is where the "hinges" are, right where the jaw opens and closes and it's always in the same spot. The pain started after I had 5 cavities filled, and I have gone back to the dentist to get it checked out. She adjusted my bite for me, did x-rays, felt my jaw muscles and joints when I opened and closed my mouth, and she couldn't see what the pain was from. Finally she suggested getting a night guard to see if it would help, but I really don't think that's what it's from. I called her again to say it was hurting (I haven't used the night guard yet as I haven't received it), and she told me to go to the doctor to get it checked out. I will be doing that tomorrow. Has anyone experienced anything similar or have an idea of what it could be from? It's incredibly bad pain... I've been taking advil multiple times a day because of it..Reply Follow This Thread Stop Following This Thread Flag this Discussion
