Hey all. Got an urgent situation here. Last night, I was playing basketball with some friends when one of them whirled around and accidentally slapped me in the ear. Immediately afterward, I felt this sensation like I had wax buildup in my ear, and tried rubbing the ear to dislodge any wax. When that didn't work, I stopped at the drugstore on my way home and picked up a kit that contained a rubber syringe (for shooting water into the ear) and a bottle of earache medicine. I tried the syringe first, and, although that got wax out of my ear, the problem persisted. I then tried the earache medicine, and that only resulted in a few hours of incredible pain AND an almost comlete loss of hearing in that ear. I've tired the syringe again (in the middle of the night) but have since decided to stop with all the treatments.
Upon waking up this morning, I dicovered that the ear had, for the most part, returned to the way it was after the game 9before I tried the syringe and medicine) although there is still a little pain. Furthermore, there was a small amount of blood on my pillow and dried in my ear, as well. I don't have the time to get to the doctor, but I am quite worried. Is this something permanent? What do I do? I feel disabled!
