I can't do this again! Help!

I am a 28 year old female in ALbany ny. 3 years ago, in early December, I found while looking in a mirror at my impacted wisdom tooth, that my tonsil had opened up and exposed 5 little white puss-ball looking things. I freaked out, went to the E.R. I am also an escort, so I thought maybe even though I use protection, that it was an std and I was scared to death. It didn't hurt, and the doc didn't test me, but said it must be strep, it's going around. He gave me antibiotics and sent me home. Well, this turned into a literal NIGHTMARE! I developed pain, not in my tonsils, but down below them, right where your throat meets whenyou swallow. It hurt SO bad, that not only could I not drink water, but I had to spit out my own spit into a cup. My throat bled constantly. I was so dehydratd, I was getting heart palpitations. I turned green, couldn't walk or do anything for 2 months. I lost 50 pounds. I have NEVER been that sick in my life. I saw 6 different er docs, they all gave me stronger antibiotics, and said "if it's not better in a few days, come back". Nobody could figure out what it was. Almost everybody I saw I think judged me. I am not only an escort, but even when I didn't tell them that...I am absolutely covered in tattoos, in upstate ny. I don't know if this had anything to do with it, but I developed a bitter taste too, and nothing tasted right for almost 6 frigging months! I saw an ent by the time I was throwing up blood. I told him how I had lumps in my neck, that were so big that they 'clicked' along my windpipe and made noise. He said that I must have injured it and not remebered!!! Needles to say, those big bumos have been there since. And, now 3 years later, I am starting with the same exact symptoms, taste in my mouth, bumos, and I am SO scared! I cannot get this ill again, my mom is waiting for a double lung transplant, and I am the only person there for her. And, although I am sure many of you may not agree with my profession, that really has nothing to do with my right to healthcare I am paying for...and what the ***l do I do? It wasn't mono, strep, hiv, hepatitis, or anything else they finally tested for. Antibiotisa did nothing! I have nobody else with these symptoms. I also had a fever above 99 for a whole year after this....thanx, amy. duh, I am not an escort anymore, this scared me enough to not do it anymore. So, please don't preach about it!lol. thanx in advance for any help, I am desperate before it gets bad, It's still at the point where it doesn't hurt yet.

  • How about a tonsillectomy? This should prevent any potential hiding spots for hard to treat bacteria as well.
