Over 3 weeks ago I woke up with a pain in my ear andm neck. Every time I moved my neck too far to the left or right, I would get a shooting pain through my right ear. I went to the doctor. They told me one of my tonsils was very infected and I was treated with antibiotics. The pain in my ear persisted though. I went back 8 days ago and was told now that my left ear was infected and they could feel the lymph nodes in my neck. I was treated with a different antibitoc. The pain in my right ear has gotten even worse now. My neck still hurts as well. In the last few days my scalp has become really itchy and when I scratch it it sends waves of pain through that right ear. I have also developed a bump behind the right ear that I noticed 2 days ago and on the back of the right side of my skull (both hurt) which I noticed today. I have an appointment with an ear, nose, throat, doc tomorrow but I am feeling really scared now!

  • I developed a hard lump on the back of my skull on right side. I also had some ear pain, but that went away. I thought that maybe it was due to an infected tonsil which I've had on and off all my life. I quit smoking two years ago, but I still smoke marijuana and about 3 weeks ago I did notice a hard lump on my right side of skull. I went to two doctors who have known me for many years and they seemed very unconcerned. One is a internist gastro and the other is a dematologist, so they do not seem concerned. I am. What could it be? Could it be the tonsil, Cancer? Why are doctor's so unconcerned?

  • Well it could be a lymph node. Look up "lymphoma". Doctors are always unconcerned. Thats why so many people ave so many problems and they jsut say nothing is wrong with you. I have problems to, which I can not address. Neither can the doctor. but I have read about all kinds of symtoms because I have had them. Lymphoma is hardening of the lymph nodes. They are ALL over your body. they fight infection. and there is one behind your ear in your neck. Just check it out. Not saying for you to worry, im jsut giving you more to educate yourself with and check out further symptoms. Also check out symptoms having to do with kidneys. google it.
