I was given allergy meds, steroids, four different antibiotics, nose sprays, and a liquid ulcer medicine. Nothing has worked. When I do strain to talk (no one can hear me) my ears hurt for about an hour. Went to three different doctors including an ear, nose and throat guy. Where do I go from here? My main job is answering the phones at work and thank goodness I have a boss that is doing this for me (along with the answering machine). I even stayed home for about five days. What do they do for swollen voice box?

  • Maybe thyroid related. Do you stay tired a lot. I did this and that was my problem.
