Hello, for about 2 days now, I've been having this weird feeling like there is a popcorn kernel stuck way in the back of my throat. I've been searching around online and the the only thing I've found to describe this is tonsil stones or tonsiliths. The only problem is that I got my tonsils removed back in 2001, so I don't know how this would be possible.
My mother said that she often gets tonsil stones and she just coughs them up. I've tried coughing, gargling with listerine and hydrogen peroxide, drinking water, drinking hot tea, etc., and I have no idea what to do.
Today is saturday (obviously), and this started on thursday afternoon. On wednesday I had a mild sore throat and I don't know if that has some correlation.
We've decided to call the doctor if this lasts until monday, but it's just so aggravating and annoying that I can barely even stand it anymore! So if anyone has some suggestions or things I can do to get whatever this thing is out of my throat (if there even is something in my throat), please please please tell me.
