Can anyone help

Started with earache last november, with severe pain and hearing loss in the right ear. Since then had a dull ache in the right side of face, neck and head and sometimes sharp pain in the ear. many times been unable to eat anything other that soft food. sometimes had really severe headache. had 3 trips to GP and one to A&E with the pain. been on 400mg of tramadol for the pain. finally referred to a consultant, been today to a maxillo facial doctor. He says there is nothing wrong with my jaw, it must be the ear. My GP has looked in my ear several times and cannot see signs of any infection. Now i have to wait to be referred back to another consultant.
Wondered if anyone had any ideas.
