Ear thumping like a mic being tapped.

I am wondering what the heck is going on with my left ear. I have this loud thumping noise in my left ear it is like someone took a micro phone and tapped it and it was loud. It drives me nuts! I can be laying down or sitting up and or standing and it will do this loud thumbing off and on all day long day in and day out.,

Does anyone have a clue about what is going on?

Thanks for any info you may give.

  • Hi there... it sounds like you are experiencing "pulsatile tinnitus" which is basically hearing your pulse inside your ear.I've had this for many years, and only just recently found out what was wrong. Take a look at these threads, maybe someone has posted something that will help: "Ear Whooshing, hearing loss.....etc"http://forums.wrongdiagnosis.com/showthread.php?t=33720 "I can hear my pulse in my head"http://forums.wrongdiagnosis.com/showthread.php?t=6429 good luck!
