Ear like an echo chamber?

I woke up this morning and my right ear feels remarkably open (not full, but the opposite - like right after your ears pop) and I have a consistent low ringing in it. Everything I hear from that ear sounds like my head is inside an echo chamber. Any thoughts? I've read that fullness in the ear + ringing could signal a blood pressure issue, but this doesn't feel full. It feels empty! Help?
