Ear infection

last friday i was going to bed and noticed a ringing in my left ear, so i went through the weekend thinking it might clear up, it however did not, i went to the doctor and she saw a cerumen (ear wax) plug nearm y eardrum, they put some hydrogen peroxide in there, and then irrogated it out. she gave me a prescription of Cirpo ear drops, and on my way, well the ringing got worse, and it sounds like it's coming from both ears, on top of that my left ear feels full and burning.

she gave me a diagnoses of a outter ear infection, but my symptoms seem more like a middle ear infection, what do you guys think?

I also cannot get any sleep because of the tinnitus it's so overbearing that it's making me crazy!!

  • My big question is, can a ear infection cause constant tinnitus, that would typically be resolved with the infection being cleared up?
