Hi all,
I just arrived in Edmonton Alberta to visit my relatives. I've noticed that the insides of my nose feeling really dry, and today when I woke up, I went to blow my nose, I noticed that the mucus had traces of blood in it, which I'm guessing is because of the weather here being really dry and cold or maybe something else.

I was wondering it there is any way that I make my nose less dry to stop the bloody mucus situation?

PS There isn't any reason to panic is there?

  • A humidifier will relieve your dry nose. If you can't use a humidifier, get some petroleum jelly and rub a small amount inside your nostrils. This will help keep them moisturized and reduce the amount of blood. I usually do this every winter, because of the dry heat indoors.
