  • I have the same problem minus the disgusting taste. For almost a year I've had excessive sticky saliva, having to constantly swallow. Doctor puzzled. I've had acupuncture and homeopathic treatments. Nothing helps. Anyone have a solution?

  • I'd had this problem for the past 6 years and it's ***l i feel for you. I suffer with constant sinus headaches and thick sinus drainage which sinus medicine only seems to temp relieve some of the symptoms. Nose bleeds are a common thing as well. It never really stops the drainage, just slows it down alot. I've been to DR after DR with no help. I was diaginosed with Chronic Sinutitis. No matter how many antibotics they give me, nothing seems to slow it down or help besides sinus medcine. So i've been taking that every day for the past 6 years. That in turn leads to a whole nother bunch of issues, but what can you do? Ya know?? I still have my tonsils which have always given me problems and when i go without sinus medicine and the full stream of drainage covers my tonsils i end up with strep within 24 hrs. I constantly run a low grade fever of about 100 which keeps me dehydrated to the point that no matter how much liquid i consume it's never enough. I would love to find a treatment for this condition to ease my condition and greatly improve my life. I'm currently undergoing tooth removal of the few bad teeth i have to see if any of the infection is caused by them. If that doesn't help, i'm wanting to have my tonisils removed. Hope this helped someone, if not and someone can guide me to someone or something who might can give me some help. Feel free to contact me on yahoo messenger if you have any questions or advice CarelessEmpathy or CarelessEmpathy@yahoo.comThanks, Shaun Dean

  • Disgusting taste and excess mucus. This can often occur when there is an infection under a dead tooth. Antibiotics do not seem to help. Further treatment is needed and investigation may be required to discover which truth is causing the problem.

  • Im 21. Back in 2004 I went in to see the doctor and said I had these same problems. He sent me to the hospital for a head CT. There they found a huge cyst growing. The size of a golfball really. I left it alone, four years later...here in '08 it is really starting to kick my butt. I have an appointment with my Ear, Nose, and Throat doctor. He let me know in advane that this is probably what is causing all of my symptoms. And that I will possibly need surgery to remove it. Only down side is a lot of times these cysts do come back several years later.Hope this helped.Go see and ENT and ask if a CT would help shed some light.

  • Hi I am new, I have mucas in my mouth and it gets on my teeth with food stuck between the gums and teeth going hard and painful, dentists and doctors dont see it nor can I but I feel it. my saliva glands are blamed and am diagnosed with dry mouth which I think is rubbish, it affects my ears and neck in different stages when some days its worse. the saliva substitutes just add to it, the only relief is keep washing my mouth out with warm water. anybody else with similar.best wishes Helen margaret
