constant sore throat

Please advise if you know what this is. 3 months ago I went camping and came back with a weird cold, just running nose, sore throat and feeling unwell. The sore throat never went away. Doctor has prescribed antibiotics. After 5 days I lost my voice. Strep test was negative. 2 lots of blood test first OK, then after antibiotics, lymphocytes had dropped to below normal. Went to see ENT specialist, he looked at my throat and said it wasn't bad, but when I said I was spitting out green phlegm he said that he did not know anything about chests, but he could give me Augmentin. On the GP letter it said that I could not take Augmentin, so he did not give me any antibiotics, but prescribed Beconase. I said that my nose felt that it was still wet inside, but when I went to blow it nothing much came out. Is this sinusitis, postnasal drip, also I am wondering about mould on the tent causing allergic reaction. I have recently had nosebleeds and currently I am spitting out blood in the morning from what seems the back of my throat. I am getting really worried as this is now 3 months without any relief from a sore throat and this is making me miserable and affecting my work. Please help if you have any suggestions.

  • Some people would take lozenges to sort symptoms of their cold out but eating too many throat lozenges can give you nosebleeds.
