Congestion for 5 months?

I've been sick since I did an internship at a health clinic in June. I had some chest congestion as well, but that went away. Now, I just have nasal congestion constantly, and for the past few days, the neti pot (used in the morning and before bed otherwise I really cannot breathe at all, stairs are a struggle) and Sudafed decongestant have not been working as well as they used to.

When I look in my nostrils, I can see some inflammation, but I don't know what this could be. I don't have insurance and I am unfortunately unemployed right now so I can't afford a doctor visit paid OOP.

Anyone have any idea what this could be? All is it is nasal congestion, nothing else bothers me.

I also get sick like this quite a bit =/

  • I know that feeling I get congested alot two when you blow your nose do you get any yellow or greenish come out with it if so then you may have a sinus infection that can go away with a decent amount of sleep and sometimes a antibiotic from the doctors will clear it up I work in a car shop so am constantly in the hot and cold so I get them alot have gotten them three times so far this year. If it is not that I have also heard that it could be the cause of an allergic reaction maybe you are eating something that is causing this? Plus look around their are some clinics that do help people that are unemployed or low income in alot of states we have one here never been to it but I have been told by others they charge a basis of how much you make if you dont work they charge very little good luck ^_^
