Confusing Oral/Neck symptoms

I've had a few weird symptoms starting around late December. It started with my spotting a cyst on the floor of my mouth, which the doctor said was on the salivary duct and was harmless. Then a lymph node in my neck slowly started to swell, though it hasn't gotten too large (3/4" - 1"), but has remained swollen for some time now. I also began to get tonsil stones on my right tonsil which I have to clear out regularly, and that tonsil is puffy and red (though there isn't puss, just tonsil stones). At first I thought it was associated with a tooth that had a fairly bad cavity, but after getting it fixed and getting a deep cleaning on two teeth that were aggrivating me at the dentist, the tonsil stones persisted and while the lymph node's swelling feels like it went down some it is still prevalent.

I've got a doctor's appointment coming up, but the entire thing has me weirded out and I'm hoping to find a little reassurance or knowledge as to what to expect when I go in. Has anyone had any similar symptoms? Any idea what this could be?

  • Had the doctor take a look at my throat and tonsils, felt my glands. He didn't seem too concerned and said my tonsils and throat looked fine.On the same side as all of those symptoms above, I've got a small spot on my tongue that looks like the skin's been sliced and pulled apart on the side of my tongue by my back molars. It's not showing signs of infection like puss but it is sore to the touch. Otherwise it is not painful. My tongue feels stiff at the back on the one side. My ear on that side has also been clicking a lot when I swallow. So I'm curious, is this common when you've had cavities with sharp edges? And how long does it normally take for a cut on the lateral side of the tongue to heal? I'm going to keep an eye on it either way (even though I'm young I've been a smoker for a number of years) but I was hoping someone might know, or whether or not these symptoms are all connected.
