chronic ear/neck/sinus pain

ok, so the doc says it isn't an ear infection given my ears are clear of fluid, but the earache never ends! My right ear, cheek (sinus cavitiy), neck hurt constantly. I take decongestants and nose spray and feel no relief. I often suffer from dizziness or vertigo, and am lethargic. My ear/jaw is constantly popping and often audible to others. I do have congestion despite the Allegra and nose spray prescriptions I am on. So, is it TMJ? Adrenal issue? sinusitus? Cancer? Help! I am tired of feeling terrible and being irritable!!! I had my tonsils removed a couple of years ago and I am only 28!

  • If you have sinusitis, a decongestant is going to make it worse because it dries up the mucus but the mucus stays in your sinuses causing infection and pain. Mucinex is better to use as it helps thin the secretions and then it can clear out of your sinuses more effectively.Get yourself a neti pot from the health food store and learn how to use it. It is used in Ayervedic medicine and really washes out your sinuses, letting your nasal passages do their job of filtering out impurities. It takes practice, but this works great! Also, a large percentage of sinus/ear infections are FUNGAL in nature. So check for candida: go to www.candidafree.net for info. Chronic sinusitis can be cleared if you do a candida cleanse - I've done this and it has really helped.best of luck to you

A neti pot or other nasal irrigation method can definitely help, I recommend Sinox (http://sinoxspray.com/). Sinusitis can be fungal or bacterial or viral, among other causes. Cleaning out the mucus will help you manage your symptoms.
