Can all this be thyroid

Over the past 5/6 months I have noticed these symptoms.
Dry itchy ears, dry eyes, dry mouth and lips, although they are not cracked. Dry cough. hardly any mucos in nose.
Although I do not have difficulty swallowing, I do notice a difference from last year. First thing in the morning when I take my meds. I feel as if I have to raise my arms to let the water go down.
I found lump on thyroid many years ago and take .112 grains of levoxyl. once a day. The only other med is 100 mg of Zoloft.
I have had regular visits to endocrinologist, ultrasound, and Family prac.
says blood work is good, always in proper range.
BUT the last visit to endocrin. doctor she mentioned I now have a number of nodules. When questioned, she said it was perfectly normal to see a cluster like this. Well, normal or not I find my self wondering if I should seek another specialist.
.In fact I most likely will. I wonder if all these nodules have anthing to do with the dryness, and definitelly think the swallowing change is from the nodules. Since I must take the medicine anyway, would I be right in suggesting I have the thyroid removed? Help.......
