Any idea whats wrong?

Hi there, I am a 16 year old male. For the past 2 weeks now I have been having a lot of pain in my neck and enlarged lymphnodes along with chest pain and a sore throat. It hurts for me to move my head from side to side or up and down. I have been having daily fevers along with this all too. I can feel the pain from right below my jaw to the start of my collar bone. I have also been having chest pains which have been making me short of breath frequently and they are really sharp whenever I breathe in deeply. I know for a fact this isn't normal for me because I am physically active and it kinda embarrasses me to get out of breath so quick. It feels like someone is just sitting on my chest. Another issue I have been having occasionally is abdominal/lower back pain. Any ideas on what all of this is or if I should be concerned about it/go to a doctor and not waste their time? I haven't told my parents about this either yet by the way. I just don't want to feel crappy like this everyday anymore.

Thanks for your help! :)

  • You should go to a doctor. Although rare, menengitis (which is what it sounds like) can be very deadly. Go to the doctor ASAP.
