Okay...I am trying to get my health problem fixed. I have been to so many they blur together. It took me 10 years to get my cholestetoma diagnosed. When they removed it, I needed my eardrum replaced(with cartilidge), 2/3 of mastoid removed, hammer and anvil replaced as well. Surgery went well. I flew 1 month after surgery, doctor approved. My ear drum blew in flight. When I got back I had a tube put in. I had ear infections almost every month and had cronic pain. I developed fungus in my ear about 1+ after surgery. 3 months on antibiotics, and a ct scan later. Cholesteatoma is back. Next surgery is done...partial radical mastoidectomy. I have a huge hole in my head. I can deal with this if I am finally healthy. I am still having a ton of ear infections. One more bout of fungus. I have cronic gland swelling on bad ear side of my head. My last 4 month bout I had 3-4 months antibiotics, 2 shots of rhosephine(sp) and anti swelling meds. I also had the glands in my groin all the way up my body on my bad ear side swell and painfull. They have checked my white blood cell count and basic blood tests and I check out fine. I am almost always on antibiotics. At least every 6-8 weeks. I am only 36. I still exersice and try to live normally through all this. But I get so frustrated. I hear from friends that it must be an immune problem. But the basic blood test don't show anything. I am in a small-ish town with not a lot of specialists. I get so down. When ever I travel I get so sick. If anyone knows what this is.....please help. The doctors just treat the episodes. And pull out there hair. arggghhhh. Thanks!
