I have been diagonised as having viral labyrinthitis. I have seen an ENT and have had the condition for two months. This is the first time that I have had it. My question is this....The ENT said that I have complete and total hearing loss in my left ear, but when ever there is a loud noise near me then my left ear starts to ring louder. My family doctor had told me that this was a good sign, saying that the nerves in the ear are still working. The ENT said the nerves had died. Who is right? I've had no hearing at all in two months and was wondering if possibly the hearing would return sometime down the road. I am on no medication. Please advise.Reply Follow This Thread Stop Following This Thread Flag this Discussion
