Hi - I wonder if anyone here can help me. For the last 5 months, I have had recurring earache alternating between ears and sometimes both at the same time. I have had 4 courses of antibiotics and steroid drops and the pain only goes away while I am on these treatments. About a week after they finish, back it comes with a vengeance. Every morning when I wake up, the side of my jaw that is next to the affected ear is very swollen and I can't hear except for sometimes a popping sound like on an aeroplane or a squelching sound. I can't eat properly because the chewing motion causes too much pain. Ibuprofen anti-inflammatory tablets take the swelling down for a short time. Any ideas............?Reply Follow This Thread Stop Following This Thread Flag this Discussion
