for the past month or so i have had the full ear/pressure sensation in my right ear.
i also experience a little pressure (very light pain) in my jaw joint right below my right ear.
i can also feel, what feels like, a lymph node swollen a bit under my jaw in right side as i am sure it is in over drive because of this infection in my ear.
when i wake up in the morning, it isnt as bad but as the day goes on, i can feel it more, most likely from eating, swallowing, talking.
when i burp or swallow, i can feel my eustacian tube wanting to pop, my left one has no issues but the right feels like nothing is getting through.
i do feel the mucousy feeling in the back of my throat and sort of that itch you get right before a cold sets in. its not there all the time but sometimes i feel it. all in the right side.
i am a certified scuba diver and i know how to equalize my ears for pressure along with doing it in an airplane without any issues.
but when i try to gently plug my nose and blow, i can feel my left ear go but the right seems to struggle and get no where but more pressure feeling in that right ear.
i dont have vertigo (not that i have noticed yet).
its just a constant feeling that there is pressure between my throat and outer ear.
i think i know how this came about. about just over a month ago i did my first bungee jump (over water) and was dunked in the water on my way down. my head took quite a blast of water when i went in and my whole head and sinuses filled with water.
i rememeber getting back to dry land and trying to shake out the water in my ears and clearing my throat. but i could feel it for the rest of the day like i just had normal water in my ears after swimming. it was more than normal as i am sure a lot of water rushed into all my sinus cavities. my whole head felt water logged.
shortly after that, ive noticed some ringing (tinnitus) and the clogged/pressure sensation. then the ache in the jaw joint under my ear.
my next step (probably tomorrow) is to go to the walk in and get some anti-biotics to try to see if that can help.
nothing really hurts, its just annoying. sometimes i can feel liqiud swishing around in there.
i tried some anti-biotic drops in my ear but that did nothing as this feels more interior.
just wanted to see if these symptoms sound like an inner ear issue. ive been doing some reading on the internet and a lot of what people are saying, sounds like what i have.
thanks for reading...
