OK, I know you aren't supposed to use Q tips to clean your ears, but sometimes (though rarely) I do and I'm always very careful not to go too far. The other day when I cleaned my ears out, I noticed that upon sticking the Q tip in my left ear there was intense pain and it sounded like there was water stuck in the ear where the Q tip was touching, although the Q tip came out totally dry. I tried to replicate this in the other ear, but the other ear was completely normal.
