I was diagnosed w/ a chronic sinusitis (upper frontal lobes). CAT scan showed a severe bent in the nose bridge probably from boxing, obstructing left nostril discharge. The doctor said it's likely causing the build-up of infection which led me to see him. He recommended minor surgery to fix the channel + antibiotics. The sinusitis subsided but isn't gone. Related to this I have two questions.
If I breathe with my nose, it gets very dry in less than half hour. It becomes very uncomfortable and I have to wash my face to damp the passage. Not sure if I makes sense. Why is that?
Second, my left nostril is often blocked from breathing but I noticed that when I plug my left ear w/ wax(cotton) tight, nostril unclogs for hours and I feel much better. Again why?
