For over 6 months now I have had pain deep in my left ear. Per Dr. ear drum intact, no bulging from fluid buildup of the eardrum, no redness or swelling, no wax buildup etc. I have been put on 2 different antibiotics, nasal spray for allergies, etc. The only thing that relieves the pain is 600 mg of Ibuprofen. However, the Ibuprofen is now tearing up my stomach. Help!!! The pain comes and goes throughout the day, and the pain is deep in the ear canal and in one ear only.

My Dr. refuses to do any type of scan, x-ray etc. Any advice???

  • Hello,I have ear pain for now 11 months. I was prescribed Arthrotec which is easier on the stomach and helps my earache. At night I take one Lorazapam which acts as a muscle relaxant and also helps my ear. The health professionals say my earache is due to TMJ...I've been to 2 ENTs and they say the ear is clear.
