Hi all im new here I have had a ringing in my ears for about 5 days now I thought it would be pass but it hasn't so I visited the doctor on Wednesday who told me I have some fluid in both ears and an infection I was prescribed some amoxcillin antibiotics 500mg and have been taking them 3 times daily. I have a slight pain in my ears a few times a day it isnt constant and they do not feel blocked or have any hearing loss. The ringing in my left ear is high pitched but not very loud and the ringing in my right ear is a low pitched noise which is louder than left.

Any help appreciated just really hope this will go away :(

  • Same here, except when I went to the doctor he said I just had fluid in my ears. Few months later, ringing isn't constant(at least what I've noticed) but it is still occurring. I, also, get dizziness, but I think it's slowing up. It's pretty random, vision blurs and sometimes black spots. How long have you been taking your medicine? If I were you, I'd give it just a little more time(take the medicine as proscribed and drink LOTS of water, trust me, it helps). Things like these take time to start, so it will also take time to stop. Maybe boost your immune system by taking some probiotics? I've heard there's a herb out there that is suppose to stop ear ringing, but I haven't tried it. I hope your ears are feeling better, holi

  • Sounds like the beginning of tinnitus. If it's tinnitus there is no cure, but there is a treatment so don't freak out. There are only 3 causes of tinnitus and there are different treatments for each.1. Cochlear damage - caused by exposure to noise, inner ear infections and head injuries. 2. Sinus problems - caused by adverse reactions to drugs such as antibiotics or antihistamines3. Stress and traumatic life eventsSome advice:A- Stay away from loud noisesB- Exercise to increase blood circulation and calm nerves (Do tai chi and yoga.)C- Cover up the noise of tinnitus with external noise. If you want the whole thing read it at http://tinnitusmiraclesecret.comBe aware that only 10% of people are able to eliminate the symptoms and about 80% are able to reduce the sound.I encourage you to check it out.
