My son is 16 and has had fluid in one ear going on now for almost three years. His hearing was diminished and the fluid sound in his ear was making him crazy! After multiple courses of antibiotics and nose sprays, his ENT put an ear tube in. He felt great while the tube was in. The tube stayed in for about 8 months and fell out. He was back to square one almost immediately with the fluid building up again in the ear with addition to hearing loss. I consented to letting the ENT put a "permanent" tube in and now only after 5 months it is out! Again, my son is suffering from fluid and muffled hearing. I am at my wits end with this situation and feel terrible for my poor son! I have just made an appointment with another ENT. Can anyone help or offer advice!Reply Follow This Thread Stop Following This Thread Flag this Discussion
