Hi all, new here and first post to these forums ...
I woke up in the middle of the night (early morning hours sometime) to my left ear bleeding. It's been an on and off thing today.
I do use Q-tips to clean my ears twice weekly (after morning showers or baths) but am never rough while doing so. The bleeding did not begin anytime during the day yesterday. Only happened overnight ...
The only thing I did differently last night was to add two new CDs (Solfeggio tones) to my CD player and, as I often do, slept with my music playing while wearing headphones.
Now -- is it possible that certain 'musical' tones could make one's ear bleed? But, then again, why just my left ear? I thought that the bleeding might have happened because sometimes I shift position in my sleep and wake up with my ears sore (ill-fitting headphones, maybe?) but that doesn't make sense cuz the bleeding is coming from *inside* my ear. The blood coagulates some, I tilt my head and drip some water into it to clear it, but as of this evening it hasn't seemed to stop yet.
I do have an appointment with my PCP tomorrow (Tuesday 08-20, AM) so I'll ask her, but I'm still curious about the musical tones thing. That's really all I did differently last night ... I added two new (or maybe three?) CDs to my 5-CD lineup for my nighttime listening.
Many thanks for any and all input -- curious!
