  • Can the recreational use of pain meds cause this?the recreational use of pain meds certainly slows the bowls. marylin monroe was known for her cronic constipation because of these pills. she used enemas to clear herself out. some pain meds aslo contain tylenol or ibuprophine. these in high doses can harm your liver (Tylenol) or kidneys (IB) and this can cause all sorts of issues. if you are taking pills recreationaly, you need to at least read up on what you are taking and KNOW what you can, or can not do in relation to the pill youre taking.
