Does anyone know if you can prevent the onset of ileus gastroenteritis?

I have had stomache and digestive issues for about 2 now. I have been in and out of hospitals with stomache spasms, vomiting, low blood pressure and acute renal failure due to the symptoms. I was recently back in the hospital and was diagnosed with paralytic ileus. Is there anyone who has this and is there any thing you can do to prevent the onset. They thought I had Crohn's, but were never 100% sure. Any suggestions?
