I have been diagnosed with this lovely disease. I only weigh 107. I had an endoscopy, colonoscopy, and a MRI done. The MRI shows that the tube in my pancreas is to short, I guess thats from birth. So I am taking pancreatic enzymes that worked good the first day, and then not at all. I don't have any problems with my gallbladder, and I changed my diet to low fat. Nothing is working. I do not throw up, but as soon as I eat my stomach gets bloated, and I have constant diareaha (not sure how to spell that). If I lose any more weight, I think I will die. I look like I have anorexia. My doctor says I have to much fat in my colon. I cut out all sugars, take vitiamin, prevacid, and nothing changes. How do you get rid of malobsortion? It is so frustrating. I am really getting scared. Does anyone else have this problem? Please any suggestions would be great. Thank you...

  • You may want to consider speaking with a Health Specialist. Also, switching your digestive enzymes may help. I take NSI Mega Digestive Enzymes with Pancreatin 10X. In your case it sounds like you need this type of enzyme with the Pancreatin in it. Have you also tried juicing? It's working for me as I found I wasn't retaining much of what I ate. Also, you may want to consider a Probiotic Acidophilus to also help you aid in regulating your system. The brand of probiotic Acidophilus I take is by "American Health". If you cannot find it locally at a specialty vitamin store, try vitamincost.com. Try not to eat big meals, also by breaking down your meals in to single foods combinations may help. What I mean by that is instead of eating soup and salad...try just the soup and make sure nothing you eat is too spicy. Then an hour or two later you can have the salad. In between that have a banana or a fruit of your choice. Watch your fiber & caffeine intake when diarrhea is present! If you find that vegetables are going throuh you....you should consider juicing your fresh raw vegetables. I hate vegetables for the most part. So, my simple solution to this problem was to juice them all together and you would not believe how good it taste. If you want it sweeter just add an apple. I did find that when juicing with fruits you should be careful not to overload yourself with the fiber as it will clean you out. One important thing to also keep in mind when juicing is that you should drink it immediately. DO NOT juice a big batch and keep it in the fridge thinking you can drink it later. Fresh fruit and vegebables after juicing should be drank no more than two to four hours later. After four hours it goes bad because unlike the store bought juices they have lots of preservatives and your fresh juice doesn't. I also recommend you keep an eye on your Pancreas by having your doctor run a blood test every few months. This will let you know if your lipase or amylase levels are high. Also, ask your doctor to perform a CT scan or a Ultrasound to see if maybe you may have a blocked duct. This is sometimes hard to detect but if you're not getting anywhere with your current doctor have him recommend you to a specialist or get a second and third opinion. Here is a link explaining about Lipase and Amylase levels: http://www.labtestsonline.org/understanding/analytes/lipase/test.html I wish you lots of good health!

I had an MRI, and found out I have Pancreatic Divisum. It's a birth defect, The tube is to short. I am taking Creon, but so far nothing works. I had blood done yesterday, to check for celiac disease, and liver and enzyme levels. Also another stool test. I just did all these tests 2 months ago, they always come back fine. So how do you do the juice? Do I need a juicer? I also took the same enzyme you recommended, and it didn't work. I will keep trying. I am just tired of always being hungry. Thanks again for your help, any other help would be great. Thank you....

He is taking Creon (they upped it to 24,000) he also has pancreatic dificum. They tried to tell us this would not cause pancreatitis but I think it might be the cause. This son is 20 and he keeps getting tired of people telling him not to drink (which he isn't) and to take his enzymes. He is in a lot of pain and has constant diahhrea. I would be very curious to see what has happened in the nine months since your post.

  • Don't think about losing weight because if you do like this then maybe you face many diseases. So take healthy food and take advice from health specialist. ____________________endoscope repair
