My friend has type 2 diabetes, she does not take insulin, but she takes diets regularly. As a friend what can I do for him.

  • You cant really do nothing for her but to be supportive. She doesnt have to take insulin. Does she have a monitor to monitor her levels? If not maybe get her one so she can check. Maybe her diet works, maybe it doesnt, but with the monitor it would be able to check to make sure. She may have to take pills to keep her sugar levels right. Insulin is not needed unless the pills dont keep levels right. Also I hope she goes to the doctors for monitoring her other levels. My husband has diabetis and goes for lab work every few months to check other levels associated with diabetis. If she doesnt take anything for her diabetis except for her diet and its not working, she can be fine for now having a bit high, but it will come back to haunt her with alot of problems in future years, which can be avoided if she gets it under control now. Good luck with your friend.
