Diabetes???

I'm a 19 year old girl who eats very healthy (hardly any sugar) but for the past 2 years I have been getting chronic Thrush, so bad it has lead to dermatitis and I get it somewhere close to every second or third month and up too 7 times a year. The only explanation i can find is diabetes. However my doctor tells me im simply "unlucky" but i'm not happy with this diagnosis. I've been tested once for diabetes, it was a finger ****k and the result was 7. Could it be mild diabetes?? or something leading to it. Or am i being paranoid? Plus I have an incredible amount of bruises, which just seem to pop up.

Any advice would be helpful. I'm getting desperate.

  • If you are still around....A very easy way to figure this out....buy yourself a glucose meter and strips...no Rx required. Test yourself fasting (should be below 100) and before and 2 hours after meals for a week (2 hr. after meals should be less than 140). This should give you a good idea of what you blood sugar is doing and whether or not you need to have further testing or not. Just make sure you wash your hands well before testing.

  • I'm a 27year old and have had diabetes for 14 years. I had all of the above symptoms before i was diagnosed. I would be asking for a fasting glucose tolerance test which would rule out the diabetes if the test came back normal, then you could ask for further investigations. I also worked for a doctor and am pretty sure that having that test will be conclusive. good luck

  • it really doesnt matter if you eat sugar or not. you could still become a diabetic. Theres no way you can prevent diabetes (well you can prevent type 2 but you cant prevent type 1)

  • To cure type 2 diabetes you must cut out all bad fats, meaning all saturated and trans-fats, you must also try and eat only alkaline foods, stay away from processed foods and acidic foods like meat, eggs, milk, wich all contain bad fats. many people have completely cure type 2 diabetes with diet and exercise alone. the doctors just want you to believe that there is no cure so that they can keep feeding you the meds and making the pill companys rich. When we all realise that, eveyone will be able to cure type 2 diabetes.

  • Eating before the blood test will cause your blood sugar to go higher. So for many people they'll eat breakfast and have honey, sugar in the coffee, etc and test borderline for diabetes - then have to go back and re-do it as a fasting blood sugar to get a better reading.

There is hope. Look outside the big pharma.there are too many things that really help. For instance, see the movie simple rawhttp://topdocumentaryfilms.com/simply-raw-reversing-diabetes-in-30-days/there are more centers like that, just look around.there are tons of good natural ways to cure. The body has it own way to regenerate itself if you put into the body the tools that it need. cleanse and good nutrition. Meditation help too.For my experience, the worst thing to do, is to believe that there is not cure.Could you believe that in a single day that we went to see a Mexican doctor with an open mind, my son cut down half of the insulin???, it happen! everything is possible!Be an open mind person and have faith!for sure the SAD ( standar american Diet), is not that way!~
