Characterized by high blood glucose, Diabetes means the metabolic disorder caused by the insufficiency of βcells or the insulin resistance. Instead of Diabetes, the complications of Diabetes are the most terrible. Therefore, patients with Diabetes should prevent the occurrence of the following complications actively.● Heart Disease. For patients with Diabetes, the morbidity of coronary heart disease is two to three times of these who have no Diabetes. The common heart diseases are cardiomegaly, cardiac failure, arrhythmia, angina, myocardial infarction and so on.● Nerve Disease. Under the circumstance of high blood glucose, nerve cells, nerve fiber are easy to have lesion. The manifestations of nerve disease are spontaneous pain of limbs, numb sense and hypoaesthesia. For some patients, they may have local myasthenia and amyotrophy. Disorder in vegetative may manifested as diarrhea, astriction, uroschesis and impotence.● Lesion in Eyes. For patients who have Diabetes for more than ten years, they usually have different levels of retinopathy. The common lesions in eyes have iritis, glaucoma and cataract.● Diabetic Foot. For patients with Diabetes, owing to the lesions in nerve ending, the insufficiency of blood in their feet and bacterial infection, pain, ulcer and acral gangrene usually appear in their feet and this is called Diabetic Foot.● Infection. The high blood glucose sate in favor of the growth of bacterium and at the same time, high blood glucose stage can restrain the phagocytic activity of white blood cell, leading to the decrease of patients’ immunity. The common infections include urinary infection, respiratory tract infection and skin infection.● Diabetic Ketoacidosis. Diabetic Ketoacidosis usually appears among these people who have Insulin-Dependent Diabetes. When they do not receive any treatment, or they have received, but the treatment is suspended, the Diabetic Ketoacidosis will appear. Moreover, when there are stressful situations, the Diabetic Ketoacidosis will also appear.
