Approximately 3 years ago I was in a car accident. Shortly after I began noticing my jaw would randomly get stuck. I usually noticed it when I yawned. It got worse and worse and eventually I had to rip all of my food apart because I couldn't open wide enough to take bites.
I got an MRI done in 2006, but the doctor said I just had degenerative TMJ that could have been set into action after the accident. I got my wisdom teeth out and I had hoped that would help. But no.
It's now 2009 and it still bothers me from time to time, but now for the past 2 days I haven't been able to open my jaw. It only feels as though it is stuck on the right side. Is there anything I can do to get it unstuck? Maybe it's more than just TMJ? It's extremely uncomfortable and painful. I talk funny because of it! Help :(
