Had work done on bottom right rear tooth. Took filing out, put two pins in and filled with a temp. Had pain for a few days but that subsided at the tooth. A few days latter. My Jaw got stiff only on the right side. Can open it a little ,get transient pain on teeth on that side. All of this started after going to the dentist. I did open my Jaw very wide as he was working, had novac and xrays of the whole mouth. Could it have happened from opening the Jaw to wide? Can two pins cause it? Had full mouth x-rays as well. Had not opened my Jaw that wide in 8 years. Been a week , have been taking advil and resting it. Will it ever go away and how long should I keep my mouth shut. Should the pins be taken out even though there is no pain there? Could the pins have penetrated something even though there is no pain in that area? Or is it bad luck?? Can the Nov shot cause it? I can chew on the worked tooth and have no problem with it so that leads me to think its over-opening of the Jaw at an angle?Reply Follow This Thread Stop Following This Thread Flag this Discussion
