Hey guys, last saturday i was working out and my left front tooth started hurting a bit. On sunday morning i woke up and the pain was a lot worse, and i realized that its not my tooth hurting but like right above it. When i press on my mustache, it hurts and i feel its a little swolen. Any of you guys ever had it or know what it might be, my mom said it might be infection inside my jaw, so she put me on antibiotics and i'm going to check it with the dentist tomorrow, but anyone had any experiences and might know what it might be?

  • Your pain above your front tooth, if I am understanding correctly, sounds like it is in the bone/periodontal ligament surrrounding the root of your tooth. When you were working out were you clenching your teeth? Do you grind your teeth? When was the last time you had your teeth xrayed and examined- if there is an infection, an antibiotic may clear it up somewhat, but not for long...

  • I am not exactly know what that is, but call a dentist. It could be anything. It doesn't sound serious, but I would get it checked out anyway. Better safe than sorry.hank freid
