I had an infection where my right wisdom tooth used to be, which caused jaw pain similar to ear infection pain. This cleared up almost completely with amoxicillin. The pain has now returned but in both sides of jaw radiating into my head. Also my teeth feel loose when chewing gum etc. What could this be? No sign of gum reddening or inflammation.

It is possible that you have a dry socket(formed as the infection was cleared up), could be that the infection caused a slight misalignment of your teeth, especially if it got larger, which would change your bite, and then your gums would have to fix to your teeth again since they were "pushed" by the infection(especially if it got large). Lastly, but by far the least likely, the infection could have gotten into your bone area in the jaw and not killed off, and thus needs treatment. However, this is all guesswork, since I can't see it, and I don't know your full dental history. See your dentist!!!
