Hi, I'm Jessica, a 20 year old girl who has been through a whole lot whether it be having seizures (I've overcome them), being born with one nostril and having to get surgery to add another one, having an overbite which makes me sound like I'm underwater when I speak, and being blind in one eye due to a dermoid cyst that was present at birth.
Now, every doctor I go to basically takes a picture and says that they'll look into it. After that, we never hear from them. The eye itself can hardly move because the cyst has gotten so big and it just slowly keeps growing and growing, it's become noticeably bigger over the past couple of years. It's basically all you see when you look at that eye, you can't even see the pupil unless you lift my eyelid and that's when it slowly starts to turn around. The thing is so big though that it can only move just slightly.
Over the past couple of years I've noticed that my eye slot is starting to become deformed, and if you compare it to my other eye, it's feels like mush. Today, I've just felt the top of my eyelid and like the rest, it feels a lot softer. However, there's a a huge lump up there aswell now.
I'm starting to get worried now, living with this condition growing up certainly didn't help me any, but now it's just getting worse. I'm pretty sure that if I were to go back to all my doctors, they'd be telling me the same thing again. The one reason they didn't want to bother removing it is because they seem to think that it's hooked up to my brain and that I could die or become brain damaged in their attempts.
I'd really like some suggestions and comments on my situation, it will be much appreciated.
