Hello! I need help! I am a 21 year old female and I have had diarrhea for 3 weeks now, as well as very painful gas. I have taken a series of different things and have yet to seek medical help. I have tried anti-diarrheas, laxatives, gas-x, etc. Nothing has stopped it or the pain. I eat very healthy and exercise regularly. I went to Peru about 2 months ago, but this all just started this past month so I don't think it is related. If anyone can help me in anyway I would appreciate it. I don't want to see a doctor because I am moving very soon! PLEASE HELP!

  • Last Wednesday around 1am, I awoke to severe stomach cramps. When I woke up I felt aches in my neck and shoulders. I was also having chills, then the diarrhea started. After work I went home started taking Nyquil..thinking I have the Flu. By Friday night all had disappeared but the stomach cramps and diarrhea. Sunday morning I took Alkaseltzer, it stopped the cramps but not the diarrhea. Monday I took Peptobismol it stopped the diarrhea but not the cramps. Monday afternoon I started on Imodium multi-symptom relief, it's working but I have to take it every 4-5 hours. Is there another form of virus out there that is causing this?
