Not sure what it is, but this pain has been on and off and very settle for months now. It is on the left side of my back, just below the rib cage there is a slight pain. Seems it happens about 20-30 minutes before I need to go to the bathroom (poo). I seem fine aside from these pains, I am not losing any weight, I am active, etc. My hair though seems to be prematurely balding considering i'm only 22. So i'm wondering if I should actually take the time to go get this pain checked out, its been ongoing for months and months now. Not a big issue really, just a slight pain here and there under the left side of my rib cage on my back. Blood in stool? Not sure how to check really, sometimes my stool is orange/red in color but i'm not sure if its blood or if its just what i've eaten in the previous days.

Thank you.

Thank you.It doesn't sound like anything that is of immediate concern. If your're really worried about your symptoms then see your doctor. Most likely the pain could get worse. The premature balding could be hereditary. But if it's not, then it's probably a hormone or thyroid problem. I would make an appointment with your family doctor for blood work, and an appointment with a GI to see if there is anything wrong with you digestive system.

Thank you.Blood is easy to spot, so if you're not sure, most likely there is none. A lower GI bleed will show as bright red streaks in your stool. An upper GI bleed will turn your stool black.Depending on how bad the pain is... it's normal to get cramps when you need to go. But if it's debilitating, it's something to be concerned about.
