Hi, I am 19 years old and I've been under a lot of stress lately, since I have final exams coming up. I tend to be kind of a nervous person anyway, but when things like exams come up, I worry much more and I tend to get heartburn and sometimes stomach pain. Well a few days ago, it started up again. My stomach would hurt on an off, but I've experienced little heartburn. I've been having diarrhea for the past three days now, but it's been different than when I've had diarrhea in the past. Normally when I get diarrhea my stomach hurts and cramps up quite a bit, and I feel like I'm constantly running to the bathroom. With this there is little pain and little urgency, I use the bathroom just as I would normally do, it just so happens that I'm having diarrhea. I've also found that I have had little appetite for the past few days. Then yesterday, I went to the bathroom and noticed lots of mucus in my stool, and the same is true for today. I have never really had such a loss of appetite before and I've never had mucus in my stool before and I was wondering if these are all normal effects of being under a lot of stress, or if perhaps the stress is aggravating some kind of condition that I did not know about? Thanks.Reply Follow This Thread Stop Following This Thread Flag this Discussion
