I need advise on this. My father have colon divertical disease - bleeding from colon recently. Blood transfussion was done, 1st pint successful, 2nd pint body rejection, resulted in fever and was diagnoised with Liver Abscess. Leg swell as well. Please advise possible cause - could it be due to the blood transfussion? If yes, the rejection can be caused by what? David

  • Was there a good type and screen done on the blood he received? Where they match his blood type and screen the donor blood to check for diseases. My guess if you are in the US, this was done, so maybe the two are unrelated.
