Hi, Im 22 years old. My mother past away with colon cancer when she was 28 years old. I have bowel movement problems, hemrroids, diarreha, constipation, tar like stolls some are normal colored stools, I have soft stools, runny stools, ect. when I go a lot of the time its just a little bit and I usually still feel like I could go but can't, I usually have to strain to go (sometimes VERY hard to even be able to go), mucus like stuff thats light brown, fatique, I hardly ever have the energy to do anything it seem like, sometimes my stomach has sharp pain, I get cramps, rectum pains (not sure if its from hemrroids or not) ect.... I have been having this problem for a long time. I have been in and out of the hospital so sick from not going to the bathroom. I can go weeks without going and cant go. I went to the doctor a long time ago to get checked for cancer and they found nothing BUT that was a long time ago. Approx. 9 years ago. Sometimes when I wipe it has blood on the tissue but, im not sure if thats from hemrroids or possible blood in stool. I haven't ever noticed blood in the actual stool. My bowel movements have never been normal that I can remember. Im not sure what I should do. I have put this issue on the back burner my whole life even knowing that I was at risk from my mom passing with the same problem. Sould I be concerned and go see a doctor or should I still not worry. I just happen to come accross this site out of no where and now that I have read some of the other peoples threads that have some of the same issues it kinda worries me. PLEASE help I need advice. As you can tell Im not much on seeing doctors.
