I was hoping that someone could help me. I went to the hospital for severe weight loss, night sweats,SOB,dizziness, and trouble eating. All my blood work came back ok except dangerously low potassium. After blood work came back and was given 40 mg of potassium had to get a chest x ray. Doctor came in and told me I had Hypokalemia and Emphysema. All I was told was to quit smoking now and to see a doctor immediately. was discharged with potassium pills 80 mgs a day for 7 days. So Im not sure what to think but I have quit smoking. Started Vaping instead. Thing is I was not sick when I went to the hospital just have all these symptoms and have for a while. I dont have insurance since I am recently divorced and only have a part time job. Was wondering if I should try to get a primary doctor, a cardiologist or and a pulmonary doctor. I was not told much so I am at a loss. If you can I would appreciate some advice.
