Hi All sorry its so long
I am 38, have had the same partner for 14yrs, no STD...EVER
I posted on here recently regarding ovarian cysts that had appeared on my left ovary abou 1 yr ago, and then a few month later disapeared....anyways i have had irregular periods for nearly 2 yrs, and the doctor and the hospital kept on looking at my overies saying that this is where the problem was. they took 3 blood tests within 6 wks and tried all kinda contraceptive pills , none of them worked I was still bleeding. I have been off work since the begining of this yr as I thought the stress of my job was playing part of this...i had been working for a full yrear wearing 3 towels and changing very frequently, so I thought i would have a break to see if things calmed down......I live in spain so when you are off work for 2 or more weeks the social security ask to see you for an examination as they pay your salary after the 2 wks....went along to the appointment with all the blood tests and he pulled a face saying whats the problem, everything is normal...I told hime it was not...is it normal to bleed every day, wear 3 sanitary towels each time, ruin bed sheets and clothes for 2 yrs....so he refered me to a private GYN...the next day.
I went along to the appointment , discussed all my history, took all my normal blood tests , went in to the back office for some further tests, vaginal ultrasound, etc...he said that he could not do a pap smear as everytime he touched my cervix so much blood came out...he told me that there was nothing wrong with my overies and this was why the pill was not working for me as i had nothing wrong with my hormones...YIPEEEEEE. HOWEVER he has prescribed pills for me to take via vagina for 15 days and he needs to see me back after the bleeding has stopped so he can get a proper smear test..or pap test as you call it.
I have taken the tablets each night for 5 nights and the bleeding is not stopping, its not getting any worse eithet, he told me that if these tablets do not work he will need to freeze my cervix.....has anyone one else had this done , if so i would love to hear the outcome.
