I got a phone call today from my gyno that I had abnormal pap smear results (atypical squamous cells to be exact). I also contracted HPV (genital warts) when I was about 15-16 (bad decisions, I know). I'm 20 now. So now I have an appt. for a colposcopy and possible biopsy Thurs. Has anyone ever been through this? What were your results? I know alot of other things can cause abnormal cells besides pre-cancerous cells, like yeast infections and all, but the fact that I also have HPV probably raises my chance of it being precancerous and not just something little....right? Basically I'm looking for some reassurance, someone else's personal experience...anything. I'm terrefied. Thanks.Reply Follow This Thread Stop Following This Thread Flag this Discussion
