Abnormal pap smear, please, anyone.

I got a phone call today from my gyno that I had abnormal pap smear results (atypical squamous cells to be exact). I also contracted HPV (genital warts) when I was about 15-16 (bad decisions, I know). I'm 20 now. So now I have an appt. for a colposcopy and possible biopsy Thurs. Has anyone ever been through this? What were your results? I know alot of other things can cause abnormal cells besides pre-cancerous cells, like yeast infections and all, but the fact that I also have HPV probably raises my chance of it being precancerous and not just something little....right? Basically I'm looking for some reassurance, someone else's personal experience...anything. I'm terrefied. Thanks.
